Practical Karma-Yoga training

“Only in quiet waters things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world.” -Hans Margolius.

Having studied about the Atman (soul) , we may often wonder that why is it that our mind is unable to capture the essence of the universe even after we are verbally exposed to it ?

The answer to this is in the above quotation. The mind is just not quiet enough. How to achieve a quiet mind? The prescribed path for this is that of Karma Yoga. Following a life style and attitude as prescribed by Karma Yoga results in “quietening of the mind "to an extent such that the essence of the universe can be reflected flawlessly and thus internalized accurately.

Till as such time, the reflection and hence the understanding is flawed.

To be a Karma-Yogi you need not do anything or you need not change what you do. But you need to do everything differently. A person operating from state of Samadhi (non-doing)is a living Karma-Yogi.Because he does things in the world not to get anything, not even happiness but to express their joy in sharing. It is the only way to live life healthily & joyfully.
